🏔️What’s Calling You Higher?⛰️
Summit-Seekers Rise...
Welcome back, Summit-Seekers!
We were recently telling each other old stories, the kind that slip through time’s cracks, waiting for the right moment to be heard. Jonathan shared with Mandy about how he attended a bachelor party and how they had an infamous climb up Angel’s Landing while in Zion National Park. He’d never mentioned just how crazy it got—how the path narrowed, the skies roared, and the drops whispered danger. When the winds got really wild, some in the group wisely turned around. However, the groom-to-be and Jonathan pressed on, chain in hand, grit in their breath, the incoming storm trying to write them off the mountain.
Though we don’t really recommend pushing through a dangerous hike, for Jonathan the real meaning was in how he and the groom-to-be supported each other along the difficult way.
It made us think that sometimes you don’t always climb for the summit alone. The wisdom is also in why we climb, who we climb with, and how we carry ourselves through the narrow, wind-whipped places in between. We wrote a little poem to reflect on this:
your past self would weep with wonder
at the altitude you now call normal
those peaks behind you demanded blood from your knees
made you grow wings mid-fall
so glance backward—not with regret
but only to remind yourself how far you’ve come
Narrow paths. Roaring skies. Good friends. That’s how mountains become metaphors. But growth also looks different for everyone—sometimes it means turning back, sometimes it means holding on tighter.
We hope you continue to conquer your personal mountains in whatever way your soul needs today. Welcome to this week’s edition of the Positopian where we share positive news, fiction, resources, & insights to help you become the best version of yourself…

Positive People:
In 1999, a 10-year-old boy named Kevin Stephan nearly died after being accidentally hit in the chest with a baseball bat during a school game.
His life was saved by an off-duty nurse in the crowd, Penny Brown, who performed a rescue maneuver on him.
Seven years later, Kevin was working as a waiter at a restaurant when a woman began choking across the room. Kevin rushed to her and performed the Heimlich maneuver, which saved the woman's life.
That woman's name was Penny Brown.
